Hospice Residential Facility

NEW: Take a virtual tour of Morrison Manor

Since 1986 Hospice of Scotland County has made a strong commitment to the many individuals that we serve to provide compassionate end of life care. By building the Morrison Manor we have extended and completed a continuum of care by offering a “home away from home” for patients, who due to a progressing illness or lack of caregiver need an alternative living arrangement.

Located on the Eaton Park Campus, at the corner of John's Road and Lauchwood Drive , the Morrison Manor has been constructed behind the Hospice administrative office. There are six individual suites, each with a private bath, sitting area, nourishment center and patio. Patients and their family members can also enjoy a living room, dining room, solarium, and chapel. Graced with seasonal plantings and comfortable seating areas, the Meditation Garden provides beauty and respite in a private gated garden for the residents and their guests.

The Interdisciplinary Team, including physicians, nurses, nursing assistants, social workers, chaplain, counselors, volunteers and dietary consultants, develop a personal plan of care for each resident to address any physical, psychosocial, and spiritual concerns. An LPN, two Certified Nursing Assistants and a Dietary Technician provide for the needs of the residents daily. RN's are available to provide services 24 hours a day. Our goal is to offer quality end of life care by respecting the patient's dignity and wishes in a peaceful, loving setting.

Admissions will be approved utilizing appropriate criteria and need for placement. Patients will be considered who:

•  Are receiving hospice services at home without a caregiver or live in an unsafe    environment

•  Are newly referred patients needing an alternative living arrangement

•  Are living in the service area of Hospice of Scotland County which includes    Scotland , Robeson, Richmond , Hoke, Marlboro, Dillon and Chesterfield    Counties

The services provided by Hospice of Scotland County are primarily covered by Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance companies. Reimbursement for the Morrison Manor is based on an individual assessment.
